History

Kishor Patil and Ravi Pandit co-founded KPIT Infosystems in 1990. They were both partners in the accounting business Kirtane & Pandit Chartered Accountants (KPCA) and are certified public accountants by profession. When the company launched its initial public offering (IPO) in 1999, it sold out fifty times over.

After merging with KPIT in 2002, the IT division of Cummins, known as Cummins Infotech, became KPIT Cummins Infosystems Ltd. In September 2013, KPIT Cummins Infosystems became “KPIT Technologies Limited”.
