In April 2020, Aavin partnered with Swiggy for doorstep delivery of its products in Chennai. During the COVID-19 lockdown, the company invited auto and call taxi drivers to work as ‘mobile agents’ to boost sales.

Activities

Aavin operates under TNCMPFL, an apex body of 17 District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Unions. The organization aids economic development by procuring milk from villagers. It has three dairy plants in Thanjavur, processing and packaging milk for daily sale. Cloud-based technology is employed for quality and quantity monitoring, and the company purchases 38-40 lakh liters of milk daily.

Aavin introduced seven varieties of milk-based sweets for Deepavali in September 2017. The company has entered agreements with six vendors to sell milk and milk products domestically and for export.
