History

The bank was first established as UTI Bank on December 3, 1993, and it opened a corporate office in Mumbai and a registered office in Ahmedabad. The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), The New India Assurance Company, the Administrator of the Unit Trust of India (UTI), The Oriental Insurance Corporation, the National Insurance Company, the United India Insurance Company, and the General Insurance Corporation all collaborated in the bank’s promotion. Manmohan Singh, India’s finance minister, opened The initial branch in Ahmedabad on April 2, 1994.

Axis Bank Ltd (Axis Bank) provides personal and business banking and other associated financial solutions.
