History

Currently known as Zamil Group Holding, it was founded in 1930 by Abdullah Al Hamad Al Zamil. It formed a joint venture with Soule Steel of the USA, started production, and became the first firm in Saudi Arabia to construct pre-engineered buildings or PEBs. The Saudi joint stock firm Zamil Industrial Investment Co. (Zamil Industrial), established in 1998 and listed on the Tadawul (Saudi Stock Exchange), owns Zamil Steel Holding.

The largest and oldest company under Zamil Steel Holding is Zamil Steel Pre-Engineered Buildings Co. Ltd. Their PEB factory in Dammam is the biggest PEB factory globally. It can produce 9,500 metric tons per month. They put more pre-engineered building plants into service in Egypt, India, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam, increasing our ability to produce 30,000 MT of PEBs monthly.
