The Bisleri Story

But here’s the thing: it wasn’t for water! Mr. Bisleri was mixing things like cinchona, herbs, and iron salts to create a remedy for alcohol-related issues. Crazy, right? So, every time you have a sip of Bisleri, think about its cool Italian backstory. Fast forward to the 1960s, and Bisleri pops up in India. A guy named Dr. Cesari Rossi teamed up with an Indian businessman, Khushroo Suntook. Together, they brought Bisleri water bottles to India. At first, it was kinda fancy, something you’d only find in the top hotels and eateries of Mumbai. But the Parle Group, led by the Jayantilal Chauhan family, saw its potential. They bought Bisleri in 1969, making it a household name in India. And that is precisely how Bisleri became an Indian favorite!
