History
Founded in February 2005, Gallantt Metal Limited (GML) is a closely held public limited company with its registered office located in Kolkata, India. P.B. Mercantiles Pvt. Ltd., Shri Chandra Prakash Agrawal, Shri Dinesh R. Agarwal, and Shri Nitin Kandoi have all promoted GML. The company’s promoter directors are involved in a variety of businesses. In 1988, Govind Mills Limited (GoML) was established by Shri Chandra Prakash Agrawal to establish an 18,000 tpa flour mill in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Now, GoML operates flour mills with a combined installed capacity of about 2,50,000 tpa in and around Gorakhpur. With an installed capacity of 52,800 tpa, Shri Chandra Prakash established a steel factory in Gorakhpur in 1994, including an induction furnace and a rerolling mill to produce MS Ingot and MS Round Bar under the same firm.
GML was founded to establish a steel plant in Kutch, Gujarat, to produce M.S. billets, sponge iron, and re-rolled goods (TMT bars) using a power plant that the company owns.
