History

Dilip Suryavanshi established Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL) in 1987 as a sole proprietorship business named Dilip Builders in Bhopal. Under the Companies Act of 1956, the firm was incorporated as Dilip Buildcon Private Limited on June 12, 2006, and registered with the Registrar of Companies in Gwalior. Following that, in 2007, the company acquired the sole proprietorship of Dilip Builders.

In August 2010, the business became a public limited company by registration. The company’s early years of operation were devoted to Madhya Pradeshi commercial and residential construction projects. Early in the 1990s, as business expanded, the company ventured into new areas of building. Sewage and water sanitation were the first areas addressed.

Key Projects

  • Projects on National Highways, particularly the Expressway, are undertaken by Dilip Buildcon.
  • Metro Rail: To construct the elevated viaduct for the Bhopal Metro Rail project, Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL) began the first 8.5-meter-wide pre-cast segment at the planned Kendriya Vidyalay metro station on September 25, 2020.
  • Mining: In 2018, Mining-DBL obtained an MDO contract from Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd (PSPCL) for the Pachhwara Central coal miner’s growth and operation.
  • Irrigation: The state government of Madhya Pradesh invited bids from Dilip Buildcon Ltd. to develop two irrigation projects: Kundaliya Dam, which would cost Rs. 3,400 crore, and Mohanpura Dam, which would cost Rs. 3,866 crores.
